Availability MONDAY - FRIDAY / 10 am - 10 pm & Saturday - Sunday / 10 am - 6 pm
Client can contact team using the given contact methods and for enquiries or sharing requirements.
For direct fabrication (3d printing, cnc machining, etc.) orders client will have to provide 3d design file (stl or step format) and complete requirements including printing method, layer quality, material, colour, infill, etc. Quotation valid for 15 days will be shared with client. Order will be initiated once advance payment has been made by client. Please note that designs have to be manufacturing process compatible and each process has its own methodology and constraints which have to be applied in 3D Designing. Team IGNIUS when receiving 3d design files from client will conduct a basic review of the design for process compatibility and if any irregularity is found TEAM IGNIUS will inform client about the issue. Overall the Client has to ensure at their end if the design is process compatible. For thorough review of part manufacturing process compatibility additional services can be opted by client from IGNIUS.
Designs that are larger than manufacturing process capability will require either re-modifcation in design or may be manufactured in split part sections (split-manufacturing). Client will be highlighted this issue / limitation before submission of quotation and if option for split-manufacturing a design is possible it will be shared with client. Please note that the pricing for single unit manufacturing and split-manufacturing may vary. Additional inlays,
IGNIUS is not responsible for design (shared by client) based fitment tolerances, irregulaties or fabrication failures / gaps. In case the issue is highlighted that the design was incorrect for the relevant fabrication process all responsibility for bearing cost will be on client. If client requires support in reviewing and adjusting tolerances of 3D Designs for specific manucturing processes they can request for this service from TEAM IGNIUS.
For designing, scanning & fabrication services, client will have to share exact requirements with TEAM IGNIUS who will carryout technical workup at their end and share a relevant quotation. TEAM IGNIUS may hold meetings with clients to get a full understanding of their requirements before sharing quote. Order will be initiated once advance payment has been made by client. Once order has been completed TEAM will share videos & pictures of completed order with client which will be packaged and dispatched once client has made the remaining payment. Soft / Digital data will only be provided if order is only 3D Design / 3D Scanning based or mutually agreed to before initiation of order. In case client requests for design files after order initiation/completion, additional charges will have to be paid by client to IGNIUS.
Design and Development (R&D) Orders will require detailed input from client in regards to requirements. These will be shared in written form with client on which client will have to provide feedback / approval either in documentation form or whatsapp message / voice-note. Upon approval of requirements, team will prepare a formal quotation (where required, project plan) with client. Once quotation (& plan) are approved by client (and advance payment has been made) team will initiate the order. Client will be allowed to make upto 3 minor design revisions in the initial design phase (before 30-40% design time coverage or a set milestone) after which any design changes will require revision of order and new quotation to be serviced to client. Any major design revision will require revision of order and new quotation servicing to client. In development phase (fabrication / manufacturing), any changes requested by client will be reviewed and if they have an impact on timeline or cost will require revision of order and servicing of new quotation to client.
IGNIUS will only work on military oriented / application projects for parts, casings, devices, electronic systems, drones, weapons, visual systems, communication systems, softwares, etc, for Government of Pakistan and Pakistan Military Forces. Clients wanting IGNIUS to work on such projects have to formally inform IGNIUS which department of mentioned governing organisation they belong to and share in official email / letter form that the project is intended for their respective government organisation. If a client is working on behalf of Government or military organisation they will have to show a formal legal document highlighting their association with the said organisation. If a client fails to inform IGNIUS about projects actual scope and it is identified that the project at hand is of above mentioned nature, then IGNIUS has right to refuse, cancel and notify relevant authorities about said project and client.
Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) may be signed between Client's organisation/company & IGNIUS where deemed necessary. NDA will be signed between both client & IGNIUS upon mutual understanding. IGNIUS will only agree to standard NDA documents highlighting confidentiallity of information & outcomes of said project / order. IGNIUS will not destroy any documentation / evidence / data / physical iterations relevant to said project that are held in their secure repository system.
Any outcomes if discussed and mutually agreed to between both client & IGNIUS will only apply to relevant order.
Simulation orders will require detailed input from client first in terms of requirements in simulation testing. These will be shared in written form with client on which client will have to provide feedback / approval. Upon approval of requirements, team will prepare a formal quotation (where required, project plan) with client. Once quotation (& plan) are approved by client (and advance payment has been made) team will initiate the order.
No service process (especially manufacturing ones) is perfect and there are numerous variables and limitations that have to be kept mind before selecting a manucturing. Some of the common manufacturing process variables / limitations are mentioned below:
3D Scanning is limited by overall part shape complexity, deep internal cavities / holes, surface reflectiablity, size and file format options. Over complex features which are hidden behind another feature or embedded deep inside a part may not be scannable due to scanner accessibility / reach limitations. Reflective surfaces are difficult to scan and require additional surface preparation to make them scannable. Scanned parts require extensive design post processing to remove artificacts, smoothen surface, patch / stitch open segments to completely seal part. Unless fully scanned 3d parts are not completely sealed they are not useable in computer aided manufacturing (CAM) softwares (e.g, 3d printing slicer softwares). File Format options for scanning are limited to stl, obj and ply currently. If other file formats like STEP are required then 3D Designing has to be done to replicate 3d scanned part into a proper editable solid CAD model. 3D scanning single size is currently limited to 6 ft by 6 ft but multiple scans can be conducted and later on stitching can be done in 3D Designing process to build up larger scan models.
3D Designing is offered in both engineering and aesthetical designing of parts. Each category has its own development process. Engineering designing of parts / models requires detailed input from client including use-case, use-conditions, selected manufacturing process, selected materials, general dimensions, relevant features (& their applications), regulatory implications (if relevant), critical sections, tolerances, details of embedding relevant modules / hardware / parts, interactive segments, etc. For improving accuracy in designing, modulities / hardware items being overlayed / inlayed into the designed part should be provided by client. For re-engineering parts, availibility of actual part or its design file is recommended but at IGNIUS our team can mimick certain types of parts provided image of the part along with measureable segment or scale are provided. Tolerances in this case may vary. Overall design tolerances should be kept in accordance with selected manufacturing process, selected materials, post processing impact and use case / use conditions.
FDM printing based parts tend to have layer lines which can be reduced by decreasing layer height and speed but in overhung segments there will be supports which will leave support marks. Final quality can be improved further by additional post processing including buffing, chemical surface treatment and even in some cases painting. Strength of these parts is dependent on material and design but 3d printed part are much weaker in strength than injection molded or casted parts. Design improvements can be made by taking guidance or services from our Design Team to improve overall strength of the part for functional applications. 3D Printing requires tolerance adjustments in designs, usually in internal segments. Usually in FDM 3D printing tolerance of 0.30 mm from each wall is usually recommended for loose fit and 0.15 mm from each wall is recommended for general or moderatly tighter fit. Dimensions of parts may vary depending on the 3D printing orientation. If the aim of a client is to get a consistent overall tolerance in FDM 3D Printed parts, 3d design will have to be modified in perspective of 3d printing orientation to adjust tolerances in relevant segments.
SLA 3D printing tends to have this impression that it will give product like outcome but it has its own gaps. In SLA 3D Printing the parts tend to have some level of warping (especially thin or flat surfaces), fitment elements are not at par with FDM 3d printing and supports tend to leave marks on the parts which can be reduced by post processing further. Additional, SLA printing is a much more costly process (approximately 3 times more expensive than FDM 3d printing). SLA 3D Printing is offered for transparency, flexibility, high strength, high temperature or medical grade applications but client is requested to discuss proper use-case with team for best possible printing outcome. Transparent SLA parts are not 100% see through like glass will fall into category of translucent materials. SLA 3D Printed parts are UV sensative parts and exposure to sunlight will tend to cause warping / deformation over time. Painting is suggested to cover parts to prevent / reduce this impact. In SLA printing there is usually shrinkage element which is dependent on design and material selection. General materials usually have an estimated overall shrinkage between 0.6% - 0.9%. Engineering grade materials have estimated shrinkage between 0.3% - 0.6%. This can increase or decrease dependent on how the part is designed and how much UV exposure it gets after process. In surface finished parts we may apply minor surface coatings (e.g, lacquer or paint) to reduce impact of scratch marks. We also carryout surface filling if required with same material.
Cold - Mold Making & Cast Molding are a design and material dependent process and requires intricate review process before quotation can be serviced. Outcome is critically dependent on what materials are used, how material can be casted into the mold (design dependance), pre-process preparation, how a mold will be released (design dependance)(without impacting the casted part) and post processing. For mold manucturing, FDM 3D printing is primarily used to fabricate molds mostly using platinum silicone material. For direct cast molding of silicone based parts molds are 3d printed. For cast molding of epoxy, pvc and polyurethane based parts, silicone molds will mostly be prepared. Transparent materials like epoxy (mostly in simpler parts) tend to retain transparency after casting but may require further post processing. Additionally, Team IGNIUS will attempt to reduce air bubbles as much as possible but there may be some probability of small air bubbles still present in parts (which may be visible more in transparent casted parts). Vacuum, Compression, Heating & Ultrasonic Vibration support processes are employed (where needed) in cold casting process to reduce impact of entrapped air and maximise molding filling.
Laser Machining: only CO2 based solution is being offered currently. CO2 Lasers have material based limitations and mostly only work on soft materials like acrylics, resins, epoxy, polycarbonate, pvc, vinyl, wood, etc. Outcome is based on both design and material selection. Laser tends to leave heat burn marks or texture on some materials during cutting / engraving process. Laser tolerances are very consistent but are again dependent on design size, design complexity, material selection and depth of cut / engraving.
CNC Machining: currently both option 3 Axis & 5 Axis cutting / engraving options are being offered. Design is most critical in overall manufacturing outcome and may require tweaking or re-design as per process limitations. Some designs may not be machineable. Furthermore, tolerances are limited by tool options and material selection. Failure probability in CNC machining is very high and accordingly costing / timeline is calculated. General estimation on tolerances can only be shared, they may vary slightly in actual. Cost factors vary based on design complexity, material consumption, overall process time, number of different tooling jobs and material selection. Material availability & cost may vary. Finishing & Fitment is again dependent on part complexity, clearance tolerances and material. Please note that CNC Machining even for simple shape parts can be very complex as the standardised process flow involves range of steps, checks and safety measures because of which processing time is significantly higher compared to other manufacturing solutions as well as costing.
Surface Finishing: is done to improve the overall outer surface quality of a part. IGNIUS offers standard buffing and cleaning, extensive buffing & cleaning, chemical surface treatment (in certain materials), material surface coating (e.g, epoxy) for water sealing or surface finish and electroplating services. Surface finishing processes are mostly dependent on part design complexity, accesseability to surface sections & material type. IGNIUS will only offer surface finishing of parts from outside as internal section tolerance can be comprised if surface finishing is done on those sections. Internal section surface finishing can be requested on demand but IGNIUS will not hold any responsibility on impact of surface finishing on internal tolerance or features or functionality.
Painting: is a process which is dependent on complexitiy of part, number of different paint features, paint type, assembly, surface finishing and painters capability. The more complex each of the mentioned dependencies become the higher the cost & longer the timeline will be. Painting capability & finish outcome will be discussed with client before quotation and sample images of previously done work will be shared as reference. Painting timeline will be estimated and there are number variables that dictate it further which include irregularity of manufacturing part surface, post processing effort, paint drying time, different paint colors, painting sequence, access for paint to be applied to certain region and size of part / part sections. Paints can be scratched and will wear out in functional / moving part sections. Outdoor and indoor paint is seperate (client will have specify use-case). Heat sensitive paint solution is also available but colors options may be restricted. Color matching is done by eye and there may be minor difference in colors.
PCB Development: solution is offered at IGNIUS where client can get their PCB designed or can share their already designed PCB for fabrication. In designing client can either request team to develop a PCB for an intended purpose from scratch or can share a general schematic layout of component configuration using which PCB can be designed. At IGNIUS currently we offer single to dual layered PCB development solutions (but stacked multi-layered PCBs can also be developed upon special request). PCBs can be manufactured using two processes: CNC Milling or Chemical Etching.
The CNC Milling process is extremely precise with tolerance of upto 0.005 mm with approx. minimum engraving gap of 0.100 mm. The holes will be properly aligned and outer boundary will be cut neatly. This process is limited by thickness of cutting V-bit tip (which is 0.1 mm meaning track to track gap can be minimum of 0.1 mm). Maximum size limitation of milling based PCB is 225 mm x 250 mm currently.
PCBs prepared via Chemical Etching are first paint coated, laser marked, laser cut, chemical etched (copper removal) and holes are drilled manually via drill press. There is no size size restriction in PCB fabrication in this process. The process is mostly done manually and there may be some level of irregularities in track thickness and drilled hole placement (which are common). Minor repair work for tracks via soldering may be conducted (if required) in smaller sections where there is track shrinkage or minor breakage. If client requires clear tracks they have to request it directly & the cost will be adjusted accordingly for high quality etched pcb.
We also offer component embedded solutions where components soldered manually by our trained engineers onto developed PCB boards.
Quality Inspection is done for manufactured PCBs which includes basic visual inspection and continuity testing.
Pricing for Milling will be higher than that of chemical etching.
Pricing of single layered PCB will be lower than multilayered pcbs.
Designing & Component Embedding services will also be charged seperately.
IGNIUS may bear 1 - 2 failures per part during fabrication processes but if due to some process setting issues (requested by client) or design issue the client will have to bear this failure cost. If failures in an order exceeds the previously highlighted failure number, IGNIUS has the right to either restrict the order to a certain quantity or cancel it fully. Order price in this case may be readjusted and refund may be given to client based on the non-deliverables.
Timelines mentioned in orders are estimated. Team IGNIUS will try their level best to ensure the timeline does not exceed the estimated timeline but if there are any issues or delays client will be updated.
Clients are requested to conduct some background research on how manufacturing services being offered at IGNIUS are conducted before accepting or placing order. If they have any confusion or require further details, TEAM IGNIUS will try their level best to highlight or clarify them. TEAM IGNIUS can not teach or share complete details of entire process workability and caviates with client.
Client has to highlight confidentiality of their order before initiation of order. In case that is not highlighted (in traceable form) before completion, IGNIUS has the right to post images or videos related to the order on their social media.
Quoted Order Pricing is calculated using our own ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) Software which uses in-dept calculators based on company resources (including HR cost, material cost, operational cost, etc.) to calculate final price. Our company does not follow any market pricing rates for services being offered. Quotation prices are generally fixed and any changes in order requirements that will have an impact on the above stated costing will require order quotation to be revised.
